An image from May of last year which I haven’t had the chance to post yet. This was taken at Port Willunga, before we walked down to the wooden pylons that can be seen near the shore below. Closer images of these structures can be seen here and here. The pylons are all that remain of the jetty – Port Willunga was once a busy grain port.

Viewing platform for a fantastic view of the jetty. Such a pity I didn’t take my strobe along to light up the seating area.

This was definitely a ”must come back” picture – I must come back during high tide, when the water would make a much more interesting composition.

Sunset at Port Willunga, South Australia.

There is not much to do here in Rockhampton except to play with my strobes. The image was taken from our apartment balcony at the hospital’s staff accommodation building where we are staying for the next few months. I ordered myself the Strobist Favorites Gallery Vol. 1 before we left Adelaide, and plan to try a picture per week. This particular idea comes from Paul Duncan’s image ”Umbrella Bounce In Your Stride”.
